GIVEAWAY TIME
I know I have talked about a give away and just didn't get around to it. Well here it is. Besides digitizing I love to quilt and do various crafts. One of the crafts that I have been learning is rope bowls. I made a wedding bowl for a mother to go wth the quilt that I sent to her daughter. It was really pretty and a nice gift to tie mom to the daughter to the quilt.....if that makes any sense.
So I made another bowl. I love it ! Of course the fact that its pink probably is the reason. As pink is my favorite color. Always has been and probably always will be. When DH and I married DH said no pink or green. So our bedroom was blue and it was nice and I loved it. About 10 years ago I needed a change from blues/whites and so one day he came home from work and the walls were pink and green. I love my bedroom.....
Anyway , back to the bowl. I made this bowl for the purpose of giving it away on my blog. Here are the requirements. You must be a member of the blog so join using google friends. It's easy. I did...yes....I joined my own blog just to see how difficult it is. You can join using your yahoo email and its so easy or gmail account. ............ Now after you join you must leave a comment after this blog post. That can be a bit more frustrating but I've done it on various blogs and I know you can do it. The number beside your blog post is your number. I will have a random drawing and the winner will get the bowl. Deadline for entering will be November 15th 2011. That gives you plenty of time to figure things out.....I know you can do it.
Please don't write me saying "I can't". I'm old and I learned so can you. I hear that so much with a "will you send it to me?" or "Will you do it for me?" Well I can't and I won't. You can do it ladies..............I know you can..............just be patient ...............as my DMIL used to say "one step at a time."

OK, I did the comment thing and had no idea as to what to choose in order to select a profile. Just pick anonymous and see that it doesn't have a B beside it. At lease I can answer or post a comment.

ReplyDeleteI'd love to win the bowl I would get to keep it because my daughter hates pink, everything else I win she scoffs up and takes as hers. She would not touch this though and I'd finally have something that's all mine.
Great job and are you going to teach us how to do this Sue?
Ila

ReplyDeleteHi Sue. Thank you for making such a wonderful gift for a give away. I have to say you are braver than I am. I know my DH would never let me get away with a pink and green bedroom.
ReplyDeleteThe bowl is so cute . . . love it, love it, love it. I currently virtually don't have anything pink in my house (shared with my sister and her colours apply - huh!) Anyways, it would be a real treat and would love to learn how to make one of those babies! Thanks so much,
ReplyDeleteI love this bowl. Oh so Pink. I'm so happy that cancer awareness is so 'out there'. My daughter has MS....I wish there was as much concern about discovering a cure for it, too.
ReplyDeleteOk this bowl is going to go perfect in my bedroom! Have followed you for years but this is a first signing up for a blog. Didn't know you could do that!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great bowl - and I hope you enjoy your new bedroom colors! I love a green room - living, two baths and our bedroom are various greens - and my dining room is a deep Pepto Pink! Ah, now what to do the staircase and upstairs hall. I'm thinking maybe a yellow... to give the illusion of sunshine up here in Portland, Oregon.
ReplyDeleteThis is in my to do pile that is getting bigger by the moment:) Sure would be nice to win one:) Tahnks!
ReplyDeleteLove the bowls. They are a lot harder to make than one would think.
